A Bluehost Overview

Bluehost started back in 2003 offering users the opportunity to create an online presence and host their sites with them. Like most companies they had their beginnings but over the last few years have ramped up their overall popularity among users online. When you consider cheap hosting packages, GoDaddy and Hostgator are very popular among many online users, but Bluehost also has available, affordable hosting packages that can easily compete in price. Bluehost also has sophisticated, dedicated word press hosting, VPS and dedicated hosting if required.

Bluehost continues to be innovative and improving its technology, overall performance, and most importantly the security of all the sites hosted with them using their services.

The fact is, Word Press themselves rate Bluehost as the #1 recommended hosting company for anyone wanting to set up a Word Press site. This sophisticated, dedicated Word Press hosting that Bluehost provides, is a major attraction to Bluehost for Word Press developers and anyone else wanting or likes to work with WP.

Below we’ll take a closer look at some of the pros and possible cons you can expect with Bluehost.

Hey Travis,

BlueHost is certainly a popular hosting company. But, what I don’t like about them is they are owned by EIG. They own lots of hosts like Hostgator, Hostmonster, iPage, etc. There is about 90+ host they own. One thing I don’t like about them is site transfers do cost $149 I believe. A lot of hosts will have site transfers.

However, I have used them in the past and was pretty happy with them. But, I do feel Wealthy Affiliate’s hosting is better than BlueHost. You get true managed WordPress hosting for a cheaper price tag. It would cost much more with other hosts.

That was the same thing I had discovered when I transferred from my previous hosting company. A lot of them seem cheaper at first until you start to add up all the different benefits you want or need. With Wealthy Affiliate you just pay the one fee, and you not only get your hosting but all the extras for doing business that the others do not supply. That’s why I’m with Wealthy Affiliate like you, better pricing for the package you get.

Hi Travis,

I have heard of the Bluehost web hosting platform before reading your article.

In your comparison analysis this hosting company has a lot of positives to it versus other companies.

First joining Wealthy Affiliate years ago before they had their own hosting platform offered to premium members, one had to go out on their own and find such a service.
At the time I joined HostGator and frankly after a while hated it.

It seems as if comparing the two seen in your review Travis that Bluehost is in another world altogether in how they provide a much better level of service regarding customer support versus HostGator.

I remember having HostGator take care of my website 6 – 7 years ago which at that time, problems took place regularly with tech support/customer service representing this company who were almost clueless in their ability to fix these issues.

I gave up my online business then after a short period of time, but with the level of aggravation that I had with HostGator, it certainly added to my decision to junk it.

Frankly BlueHost with its fair pricing plans and level of service is miles above that other company that I referred to.
Great job on your part in making people aware of this service, should they need it.

Like you, I now use Wealthy Affiliate for all my websites hosting. As you know, we can have up to 50 sites as a premium member so it is cheaper and the services are superior to most other providers available elsewhere. I use to use Powweb which had their problems but nothing like Hostgator. There are at least half a dozen or more excellent providers for people to use but if you need training or do not know the majority of what is needed for SEO and marketing a business online, then Wealthy Affiliate is the best option, and that’s why I’m here at WA.

I’ve only been with Wealthy Affiliate for two years roughly, so I did not know they didn’t start off as a provider. There is so much to learn that I only looked at where Wealthy Affiliate is today and how well they rated with all the members on the web and never took any time to go back into the history of the company. Two years ago I was looking for the best provider and training package for using the newer platforms that incorporated website builders, and my research brought me to Wealthy Affiliate as the best.
